Thank you for stopping by my shop. Quilting is what keeps me sane. Contrast in color gets me up in the morning. Making is meditative for me. And I love cats. A lot. I'm thrilled I get to share my making with you here.
I learned to sew at 9. I learned to quilt at 15. While I've been quilting for 25 years, it was not until my mom was diagnosed with stage four cancer that I needed quilting. I started throwing out the rules and channeled my creativity through this medium.
I have not entirely abandoned traditional quilting. For much of its history quilting was one of the few artistic outlets and voices for women who had no voice. In my work you will see a nod to tradition. I love playing on the log cabin block. Many times I keep the traditional flying geese block as it was but use more modern fabrics.
