Hand Dyed Items:
Clothing, towels, hats, anything made with fabric that I hand dyed has been washed after dyeing in very hot water at least twice, until the water ran clear with color catchers in the wash.
To properly care for these items, wash on cold to retain color. For at least the first couple washes, wash with like colors just in case.
Microwave Bowl Cozies:
Wash gentle with warm water. For best results, air dry over an upside-down bowl.
Mind you, I don't do this, and it seems to work out fine.
Other handmade goods, pot holders, oven mitts, quilts, coasters, table runners...
Wash on warm with like colors. Dry on a gentle, low heat setting. May use a hot iron.
Do not hang dry large quilts. It puts stress on the thread.
